Welcome to the Memorial Page of Trugold Kennels..."Hold them tight-- 2 years or 12 it's never enough."
Loved companions age, life takes control & we are destined to continue on without them.
Our Memorial page is in tribute to these companions we miss each day.

Jazz -------Ch. Trugold's Jazz Fever
Jazz was a beautiful blonde girl with gorgeous side gait and lovely face. After getting all of her health clearances I sent her to Washington to be bred to Bistro when she was 2 1/2.
Then when she was about 4 weeks pregnant she finished her Ch. in Burns Lake, Alberta, she had only been lacking 2 points.
She was entirely devoted to her babies, it was like she was born to do this job.
When her litter was 5 weeks old, I lost my Jazz baby. We had a great day that July 1st, she had come for a long walk with me in the bush and finished it off with a swim in our pond. Just a few minutes after returning from our walk I saw her laying in the yard, just like that-- she was gone. In my grief and shock I didn't have an autopsy done so her cause of death is not for certain. In my mind I am sure she asphyxiated on some rolled oats that were for the horses. I am certain that I miss her every day and can't believe she's gone so soon. Hold them tight-- 2 years or 12 it's never enough

Misty ------- Ch. Kavon's Misty Show Girl WC CGN

Misty was a loving, eager to please girl who would do anything I asked of her. She was a retrieve-a-holic and loved to swim. She especially enjoyed fieldwork. At the age of 6 1/2 Misty earned her WC at the Canadian National Specialty, at her very first WC test!
Misty carried a moderate amount of dark golden coat with a slight wave in it. She had good length of neck and depth of body. Her movement was clean coming and going and her sidegait was effortless and groundcovering. She had year round black pigment, a scissor bite and full dentition. She was a wonderful mother and raised a litter of 12 puppies. One week after delivering she earned her Canine Good Neighbor title. She finished her championship easily and went BOS several times.
Misty left us in May 2006 due to cancer. Her loving and eager to please personality will be sadly missed.

Vanna ------ Ch. Kavon's Girls Will Be Girls CGN

" What can I say about my Vanna baby, this is the girl who carried baby chicks around in her mouth( they were wet but completely unharmed:), she was my first champion, the mother of my very first litter, and my very good friend. I miss her sweet pushy nudges for attention, her beautiful face looking at me and asking for just one more belly rub. Vanna lived a great life even if it wasn't as long as I would have liked. (It is never long enough) I am so thankful she was not ill for even a day.I am also thankful for her kids and grandkids.Vanna was loved every day and she was a favorite with my children because of her gentleness. She never mised a meal and went for a long ramble and swim the morning she left. Vanna died from a ruptered hemangio tumor on her heart. Sleep well sweet girl."

Chloe ------ Ch. Trugold's Suprise Me OD

"Chloe was a really special girl who loved to show and finished very quickly. She had a rock solid topline and lovely movement. Chloe produced many champion kids and now her grandkids are in the ring and doing well. Her special quality though was her temperment, I loved her sweet slightly stubborn outlook on life:). Chloe is a very big part of my breeding program here at Trugold and I was devastated to lose her to lymphosarcoma. I miss her every day and still can't quite convince myself that she is really gone. My memories of her are so precious and she will never be forgotten when I see her face looking at me through her kids and grankids."

JET ----- CH.Kavon's Jet Set To Trugold

Jet is the epitome of breed type in my opinion. He has a perfect silhouette with his depth of body matching his length of leg. He has good ribspring and a nice short loin. His topline is solid with good length of neck blending smoothly into his shoulders. He has a tremendous amount of forechest and good sidegait. Jet's headpiece is the icing on the cake with a nice high earset and great expression.
Jet's temperament is truly golden, he lives peacefully with other dogs including other intact males and he never met a person he didn't like. His drive to retrieve is incredible and soon we hope to be ready to earn a WC.
Jet's show record is impressive for his age and the limited amount he has been in the ring. As a puppy he received four best puppy in group. He finished at thirteen months and then stayed home for a year to grow up. In the three weekends he was out as a two year old he took a group one under respected judge Virginia Lyne, as well as two group three placements later on.
Jet's kids inherit his fantastic attitude as well as his body type and will be entering the show ring soon.
